Aww, isn't it beautiful?

If I were in my preaching "Save the World" mode

then I would say no, it is not beauty that we are seeing.

It is the bright fake lights of this

plastic, plastic world.

But then, I'd be lying. It is beautiful.

I went to Vietnam this holiday and I learnt many,

many things.

At Vietnam, we went to this small village.

Everyday, the men would leave the village

to the city

to try to find money.

The most they have in their pockets at any one time

is probably what,

10? 20 dollars?

Kids with no education whatsoever.

People with no food.

They have Nothing, absolutely, Nothing.

We stayed overnight at the village.

Eating nothing but fruits

because there is simply nothing more. We slept on a thin mat

in a forest, no shelter above us.

We bathed in the Mekong river.

I have nothing to say, really, about this poverty.

Just that,

I am going to go back to Vietnam.

Back to that village.

Back to the new friends I made.

Back to that simple, poor lifestyle.

And every holiday I'll keep going to the village until

One day,

I am never coming back.

Simplicity.

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Living for today.

That's what Simplicity is about.

Awww, sorry I have not been posting. Been pretty busy lately.

Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank

Sean Ng (SeanietheSheep) for lending me this

Hmmm...okay I am also extremely happy to know that

I am not going to miss any training at all!

Yes, I think that is a real accomplishment.

But today's training was a torture.

Warm-up was somewhat horrid.

Followed by Drills workout which was hmmm So-So.

And then, its 200m x 5 at 80%.

My first reaction was, "Okay, die"

But hey, what kinda of attitude is that?

Plus, after being JH Captain, I promised myself to give 100%

every training and if I want to improve,

I'll have to keep to that promise.

Much to my surprise, I actually

Completed the entire workout (including core after that)

And not only that, my last 200m

was AMAZING.

Well, not amazing in that sense,

But amazing in the sense that I actually could finish it

And finish it well :)

School, CCA, social life, etc

Because you believe in getting something at the end

Because you believe in an ending, maybe even a happy one

But what if there is no end to this? What if we work so hard

and then the wind of change takes over and then

Nothing.

Maybe, I just think too much. But ten years down the road,

I don't see myself as what I'm working towards.

I see myself as a whole different person and everything I

worked so hard at might be just wasted. And then you watch

those Disney fairy tales and you listen to all the lessons

and you realize, that pretty words are nothing more than

pretty words.

Nothing more than a distraction to cover up truth that we refuse

to believe in. Because we need strength for ourselves.

Strength that we get from listening to pretty words

and suddenly everything's better.

I am NOT looking forward to the IH trip because I know I'll miss someone to bits and honestly, I do not intend to spend four days in a foreign country with only HALF of my class because they have to split us up. I don't think it is fair and I know life's unfair and all but I am just going to be immature about it. So yes that basically sums up the whole I really don't want to go thing.

And you know what? I am just so angry right now at someone because I don't think the person is treating me fairly. I am your FRIEND. You're supposed to be happy when I get good news, not scream at me as if what I think doesnt matter to you. How is that fair? Why do I always end up the one consoling you because you only care about You. Now, I'm beyond angry. I am just, disappointed. Let down. There are so many ways you can hurt a friend. Basically, I have nothing to talk about today. At 10am today, I'm going to start studying my math again and then at 12 I'll be at lot 1, studying AGAIN but wif Tan Zi Rou :) To sum that up, I am basically going to study and study and study.

Yesterday was the happiest day of my life because I saw the most amazing person on Earth at Queensway and I saw him smile and just like that I fell in love with him all over again :) He's now in school doing an exam and I hope he does well because my dear has worked so hard for it that well he truly deserve it.

Let me tell you the basketballers are super pro. I watched Mr. Sham train Zi Rou and Mingyi and Benedict during lunch and I was so fascinated! They are seriously amazing. The Red People

Here is what I desperately need: A Rest. But here is what I'm going to do: Study,study, study. Why? because I NEED to get better. Let me tell you what's the worse feeling a person can feel: JEALOUSY. And that is the feeling that I feel. There is this girl. Let's call her B. I don't know her personally. I've never even talked to her yet I'm so jealous of her!

She's smarter and in a better school than me. She runs her 2.4 way better than me. She is so popular, don't even need to compare. And worse, she JUST MIGHT run her 100m faster than me. And at that, I died. No seriously, I feel so damn stupid. But well the only way to get better is to compare yourself with someone that is better right? Aaargh I hate this feeling. Stupid. Stupid.

I canNOT believe this but I'm effing gonna do my target setting RIGHT NOW. 1) I'm running for Junior High Captain and aim to get it. 2)I aim to run 14.8s for 100m. 3)I aim to actually RUN 400m :D 4) I aim to get a GPA above 4.0 5) I aim to meet up and spend time with the person I love.

I KNOW ITS LONG, BUT IT's FUN READ!

So Monday was spent at West Mall Macdonalds with Nusratina Jannah Khalid (the girl that taught me the term "cool pisangs") and Siti Nur Muslihah(the girl whom we cant find her livejournal). We were supposed to do our madrasah project but due to various distractions and the fact that no one brought the book, we ended up doing other fun stuff such as stalking and facebooking and talking very loudly in a public area. I'll post the pictures some other time.

So the main part is I went to Queensway with Tan Zi Rou after school. We took 174 to St Marg's and 93 to Queensway. Both of us never went thr on our own before so we were pretty freaked that we may get lost. BUT WE DIDNT! :D So when we reach Queensway, oh my hell, we were hungry. So we walked to Anchorpoint to eat at KFC. But first we went to the toilet. The toilet have an automatic soap dispenser!! Super freaking cool. So i tried it and I got scolded for playing with it. It's funny really. So then we went to KFC and ordered our food and sat down.

So then, this maid and an ang moh child went and sat at a bench directly opposite us. So then the boy started playing on the kiddy ride thing. So yeah I was exclaiming how cute he is. And then, he started sucking and licking and biting the handle of the ride and me and Zi Rou started laughing like mad and it was so disgusting!...and the maid just sits and uses her phone. Then, the boy went to the maid and tried to get her attention...she ignored him so he starting sliding up and down the maid's leg!! WTF me and ZR started hysterical laughter again. Then he took the maid's slippers and started bicking and sucking it. THE SLIPPERS!! And finally, he went to the maid and groped her breast. Yes, the 3-year-old (maybe 4?) boy grabbed the maid's breast. And then the scene was two girls laughing like a drunkard.

So after the stupid incident, we went to Queensway to make our class tee. And we did. Managed to get it at a good price and good quality too! Wonder how it'll turn out! XD So yeah after wandering around and resting at Macs (without eating!) We decided to go home at like 5. So we walked out of Queensway and holy crap it was DARK! Like so dark and it looks like a storm was coming. So Me and Zi Rou panicked and we started screaming and running to the bus stop. After realizing that people were staring, we stopped. But we continued walking to the bus stop. Finally we saw it and we were like "Ok nevermind la, reaching already." Then WTF we saw 93. Then we started sprinting (srsly) to the bus stop and boarded the bus.

Firstly, it was INSANE! Secondly, I've never ran so fast with my heavy bag before. On the bus, I couldnt feel my lungs and Zi Rou couldnt feel her legs. Well, that was today's workout! Then it started raining super heavily. e went back to NJC bus stop. And finally I took the bus home. When I reached, it wasn't raining anymore. But I felt sick. And now, I am sick. Sigh. Love, Iza.

The Sky Tears

The phrase The Sky Tears is in fact, a pun. Because now, it is tearing apart and crying its tears out. Yet for the first time after so long, I feel happy despite the weather. The rain is a constant pain, a cycle that makes us think, why is the heavens weeping upon us...It is depressingly sad. But today's different. My mood is not by the weather. Queer.

Yesterday was the last day of nationals. Attended the dinner party at Matthew's house. I enjoyed it very much but alot of people kept asking me "Are you ok?" because I was exceptionally quiet. I said I was...just tired. And I guess I was haha. Until at around 9.30 my parents were already waiting outside and I was about to leave and I realized, Hey, I might never see Coach Zaki again. Then, I cried.

It was so sad damn it. And I'm not even going to type all those philosophical crap that runs through my head everyday because you can define life in a million different ways. You can define your believes in a million different ways. You can define LOST in a million different ways but it Always ALWAYS comes down to one conclusion. It is Sad. Life is sad. Believing is sad. And Lost is sad. So tragically sad.

But it is our job to come out and just live with all this sadness. Because, there are people whom you love so dearly around us. People whom you know you never ever want to hurt. People who will never leave your heart. So I know Coach Zaki left. And it is sad. And I did cry. But the truth is, he will only truly leave us when we stop remembering him. And thus, we can't ever do that. It's as simple as that.

The sky is on a rampage. Reaping open every cloud. Thunder booming across the land.
The sky is ranting its displeasure upon our sad souls.
So let's stay happy and remember those whom we love. ~Iza

Science Test

I am in the school computer lab. I am currently SUPPOSED to be doing a Science forum that is graded. But my urge to blog is way too strong and thus, Here I am! :) Zi Rou's beside me and we just discussed the Science forum answer although we are NOT allowed to. This is the AWESOME part of my life heehee. I wonder what people from other school are doing now...Only in NJC can you do a test and blog at the same time:)

I added like 3 of my cousins on facebook! Whether that is a good thing or not, I don't know yet. Only time will tell I suppose! Before this, we had Math for 1 hour 30 mins!! Ok nobody deserves to live through that torture man. It was like hell...CAN DIE.

Wow during a science test, I managed to write two paragraphs and one more soon lol...Zi Rou is Screaming crazily about dai yang tian whom i have no idea who he is. And they are screaming his name "DAI YANG TIAN! DAI YANG TIAN!" and den Cheryl comes and say "He has a mole." lol....a typical test in NJC, or maybe not :) Half of my class have moved...to...TUMBLR! And I havent because I decided that I am not going to succumb to any peer pressure wadsoever. XD GO BLOGGER ALL THE WAY :P

There was once a lonely fingernail. Out of all the nails on the two hand, this is the longest nail on the littlest pinky. It stood right at end and it is longer. It does not interact with any other nail and other nails do not like it at all.Then one day, the nail got stuck in between the door and the poor nail broke. A new one grew and it was not as long anymore. THe lonely was not so lonely anymore. The END :)

By now, you would realize that..............................................................I AM BORED.

WOAH. Busy the whole week. Monday was my 100m heats. Tuesday was kinda free. Wednesday was my 4x100m relay heats. Thursday was 4x100m relay Semi-finals. Friday Odyssey of the Mind Spontaneous. Saturday Odyssey of the mind Long term. Is this or is this not life?

100m Heats on Monday, 63rd overall. Electronic PB 15.66s. 6th in Heat. I must say it felt AWESOME. Sure, damn nervous before the race but after tht, u feel like u wna go again. It feels SO DAMN good. So i cannot wait for next yr. In the mean time, train harder ^^ and I made frens wif two of my competitors in my heat Arina Nadiah, cresc girls and Zarreen Loke, AI track. they rock. I LOVE SPRINTS!! ^^

4x100m relay Heats on Wed. 18th overall. 2nd in Heats. Timing 59.81s. QUALIFIED FOR SEMI FINALS! Now that day must have been one of the greatest day EVER. The run felt so awesome and nice. If they video it, i'll put it up ^^ but it felt good, really. Looks like it paid off a little.

4x100m relay SemiFinals on Thurs. 13th in SG Cdiv girls!! 5th in Heat. Electronic PB 59.55s. Yeah, we ran against Singapore Sports School. They are fast, so FAST! Sure we were a nervous wreck before the race (I mean SPORT SCH!) But i think im glad we ran with them. It's such an honour! And it was fun...Very very fun! So 13th this year...maybe next yr...finals?? Hope so ^^

After this whole week of Nationals, I must say, I am in Love with Track & Field. I am in love with running. During the race, I never felt so good in my life! It's heaven. Really. <3 Iza

I came back from my holiday yesterday. Throughout the whole thing, my body was aching. Sore. The kind that pains even when you're standing so completely still. I don't think humans are meant to run so much. I don't think humans are meant to do anything. But we keep pushing. Despite the pain. Wow. I'm very tired. Exhausted in fact. I'm afraid of what tomorrow brings. Afraid of what to expect during training. Is it possible to be affraid of something that you DON'T know? Doubtis fear. Well I'm terrified of hell training tomorrow. I know I'm not supposed to be but I am. Scared. Sigh, yet I want it so bad. I'm scared of training and scared of not knowing what hell to expect. Yet I want it and therefore, I need it. I'm so confused now. And I think I need anti-depressants. The weather is Depressing, so much so, it is suicidal. So gray. And black. Nothing. Emptiness. Darkness. Rain. Wet and cold. So cold. I told you I need Anti-Depressants. Hate school. Don't wanna go back tomorrow. At least, not in this weather. Ass. Something to brighten the mood. Nationals in two weeks and I am TERRIFIED. I know I want this really bad but well, it's still scary. Because in Nationals, you're not just running relays, you're also running indiv events. Against school like Sports school or CHIJ or any good school for that matter. Didnt go for training today because was still sick but I'll be back on the track by tomorrow. Though, i wont be at my fittest. I kinda suspect tomorrow will be hell but Coach Zaki already told us to prepare ourselves for HELL TRAINING before nationals and well I'm gonna just hav to brace myself. If you want something, you hve to go all out and get it. Now, i just have to stop getting sick every 5 mins. It's killing my immune system (not that i hav a strong one anyway). This Is Why: The Race Of My Life

I have no pictures unfortunately, or who knows maybe i do! But I must say, it doesnt matter. Because I will never forget my very first race ever! It was....sensational to say the least. Before the race, I was a nervous wreckage. I swear, I could have died any moment. But i think after warming up, after stretching and doing drills etc, I felt slightly better. Scared, 100% but it was OKAY. Ironically, the first thing we saw as we entered the stadium, was the 4x100m A div guys. They screwd up their passing. Bad. Dropped the baton. Worse. So that made me even more nervous...but i think i got over it! :)

Let me just say, these people? ARE FAST. Its...intimidating to say the least. It was my first race. I din noe wad to expect. So i just.......go along wif it. Our call-in was a rush. We made it just in time though. And plus, we were called in EARLY....So we were surrounded by all these awesome runners! And then, Sean said he saw Joel, from tuition. And then I remembered that hey, he IS a tracker! So den i looked around, and I saw him...So i said HI. And he was shocked to see me. Could tell.

Talked to him before my race. Caught up for a while. Great to see someone else that you noe...seriously! Talked to him after the race too. He even helped to get me a drink! Its shocking how last time, you barely even say HI to a guy and now, he gets drinks for you. Guess we found something in common? ^^

So the run? Hmm....I dont noe how to describe it. I'm the third runner, curve runner. As I walked to the third runner position, I was kinda.....hmm I dont noe. I wasnt scared, no. I wasnt nervous either. The runner from another school wished me good luck, I wished her back. I didnt noe her, but I guess it was formality. I mean, we don't really mean it do we? Did she really want me to have good luck? Hmm, not too sure...

Den, during my run! Oh my god, it was amazing! I didn't tell anyone this but it was like the time stopped JUST for you and for that moment, nothing is in your way. You just RUN. I saw the video. I admit, I could've ran faster. I could've pushed more. I could've been BETTER. I don't deny that. I KNOW what I am capable off and that was NOT it. I could've done something, anything: Run Better, Faster. But the feeling, unlike anyhting else in this world. YOU wanna know why I am in Track & Field. This Is Why.

After the race, i was kinda disappointed, thought I could do better but it was a great first time experience! Joel came in 4th in his heat. Good, really. The guy's team did Okay too considering the fact of Michael's injury and a bad passing. After EVERYTHING, I was about to leave when I found out that my PARENTS were there, watching. Luckily i did NOT know that. And I also found out that my NEIGHBOUR is a runner. That he is in sec 2. And that he is in the ACS(i) team, wtf? Talked to him too. Said my race was quite good considering it being our first year. Well, that's a new friend through Track!

I'm telling you...this experience is PRICELESS. It is ama-zing and I would not exchange it for the world. I am gonna promise myself to train so FUCKING hard, DAMNIT! You have no idea how bad I want to particiapte in Nationals. Miss Eng said that when we Train, and when we run, we have to do it because we WANT it, bad. And I do want it and I do want it BAD! I swear, I'll do whatever it takes to get this. Cause now, this means the world to me.

I have not been on the com for the past...3 days or so? No, I'm not addicted to it or anything. But it is undeniably depressing, just shows how much of a life i have huh? And the verdict? I'm running 100m tomorrow. Pretty sure now that I don't want to. Nervous wreck to say the LEAST. Today, i'll be the moral support for fellow 200m runners. I hope they do well :) GOOD LUCK SEAN, YING HANG, MICHAEL, YING JIE, WEN QING, MING XUAN, SRUSHTI, JIALING!

Will be leaving soon so...not much to say. Except that there is far way too much projects ALL due at the same time. It's not right. I'm dead tired. I have a race tomorrow and then there's all these crap projects all piling up like damn shit. And just when it could not get any worse, we had to go Night Safari yesterday. Yeh fucking piece of crap man.

Finally gonna blog bout yesterday. There's a pic taken wif me, Jamie and Zi Rou but duno whr, cant find. So i'll just use this pic instead. And yes, to all you people sleeping, Zi Rou and Jamie won first place jor JH1/2 girls and guys. They are awesome. And I love them. Gave both of them a big hug (even Jamie!) and bought them drinks. I wish i had that picture so bad.

Jian Bin came in 1st in JH1 guys, 7th in overall (JH1/2 guys). He was also fucking awesome. I gave him a big HUG! too, no drink unfortunately. Unfortunately, i didn't run. I was the YO man. Ying Hang called it the YO YO YO man. And did funny actions. He was hyper that day. We all were.

And yesterday, I made goooood friends with Joshua Ng, SH2 IP senior, Track & Field, Jumper. He is funny and nice and very friendly! One of the funniest moments were he asked me "Can you explain to your friend what is cum?" and I said "It is the thing excreted from a male when he is pleasured." Laugh Out Loud. They found it extremely amusing, I don't really know why. xD

And Joshua's constantly teasing me and Sean. Its quite random but yeah. He said Sean's the Ring Leader. And I'm the Ring Leader's wife...? It's funny, really. In some way. And I told him two of my infamous jokes. So it was quite an awesome day really. Because I really had alot of fun.

And although it was hot, and tiring running around doing jobs, I thought that I really REALLY enjoyed helping out wif Track and Field. It was a good day. Great eve. Love Iza.

I've changed my style of blogging because I realized that nobody reads my blog anymore, so maybe...my blog can actually serve the purpose of a blog. I always treated my blog as a social networking system. but lately, I've realized what it really is. It's you. It's how you feel, how you understand. Cause recently, I don't understand alot of things.

You noe, I am a person. I have thoughts and feelings. I never really show anyone how i feel or what i think. And sometimes people take it for granted. People always have this way of treating others whom they think are 'nice'. But i'm a human. And i know myself. Today, after helping wif track cafe, aft eating dinner, imagine walking, tired and drained, and den u turn to your right and all your frens are sitting there having fun. I smiled. I showed I was happy. But how do you think it FELT. I didnt really care about these kinda of things. Always try to be HAPPY, try to make out the best. But I know how i feel. I can hide it, really well, but it's still there.

Den comes to track. I like Zaki as a coach. I know he wants us to improve. i noe i WANT to improve. I think he's good, sure i think he should make it tougher, but i think he's good. And I think i like track. den yesterday, Mr.L said some things that, well, that hurts. he said that track training is Damn slack. Especially compared to basketballers.Because the basketballers work so hard. and almost everyday, Jamie keep saying that track is noob. That he can run faster than the trackers. ZR saying track is slack, that it is boring, run run run only. And you know what, after all THAT, especially what Mr. L said, I feel so DEMORALIZED. I feel like I just CANT do it anymore. I feel DEFEATED. Because the worse part is, what they all said, its TRUE.

and sure Jac said that I should instead look at what Mr. L said in another way. To prove him WRONG. Because that's the IDEAL reaction. But honestly, I'm not that kind of person. I'm a person who keeps falling, crashing, going DOWN down down. Losing Hope. And i want to change. i wanted to change in track. And i thought I could. But after wad Mr. L said, I totally crumbled. CRUSHed.

Because there really is only two ways to react to wad he said. One, to take his words and prove him wrong. Two, to be demoralized and lose hope. People always say One. People always give you the right advice. Cause that's the IDEAL thing to do. But I'm NOT IDEAL, I'm just human. And I reacted according to Two.

TO think that a TEACHER would actually say that. But what he said was all TRUE. And then it all comes down to the truth doesnt it? I wanted trial run today because I wanted to prove to myself that I can do this. Fuck the muscle ache. I wanted to prove to myself that I was stronger then to be defeated by just words. But i didnt have the chance to. Well, If words could kill. Then I'd be ded wouldnt I?
